I dont know what else to say…Im in awe. I own this game on dvd…ive watched it i dont know many times. KU just completely showed who was the superior overall team in OT. This was the best KU team, and maybe one of the best overall college basketball teams I have ever seen. Im not a biased fan…you think of the depth this squad had, the talent, the will, the unity…5 players off this squad were in the nba the following season..but they had such unity. G.O.A.T.

Hey guys, a question. Given the recent NCAA penalty against Memphis, what if Memphis had won this game? Would KU have been awarded the Championship?

  • 18. Jones388  |  August 29th, 2009 at 2:17 pm

i think they would have, i mean like they would i know they would but god didn’t wanna see them cry so he made KU win

lol not for memphis fans…………..most frustrating game of the century

  • 20. MrBlueCrimson  |  September 3rd, 2009 at 8:04 pm

Memphis was dead without dorsey in OT

The day after the championship I read that Jesse Jackson was Memphis “spiritual advisor.” After learning that I realized that Memphis was lucky their bus didn’t catch fire or their hotel get taken over by militants or something. Having Jesse Jackson on your side to help curry favor with the lord is about like having John Goodman as your dieting coach, or David Crosby as your AA sponsor.

Very Sweet, I applaud anyone that slaps that sad excuse of a religous leader right in the mouth! He is a fine example of a bigot who happens to be black.

I will never forget that game…. One of the most incredible sports comebacks of this century so far and rivals last century. I was a little sad that I made my son go to bed(7 yrs) after the second half, I would have loved to have seen that with him, just because he is a huge KU fan like me. We just love watching this together!

Kansas had the deepest team I have seen in quite some time. They had tons of good players. And how many times do u see a team alley-oop in over-time?? Kansas was simply that good
